Job Description
Blue Mountain Hospital, located in Blanding, Utah, is seeking a part time or full time Operating Room Surgical Technician.
The surgical technician will work under the supervision of the surgeon and registered nurse during the surgeon's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures while maintaining all the principles of sterile technique. The surgical technician must maintain an excellent surgical conscience.
Duties include preparing the OR by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining a surgical sterile field, and passing instruments to the surgeon and their assistant. Duties also include the decontamination and sterilization of instrumentation and endoscopic equipment, and the maintenance, proper storage, and ordering of supplies.
Experience desired, but not required. Blue Mountain Hospital is willing to train the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be required to take call, requiring a 5-20 minute response time.
