Job Description
Blue Mountain Hospital, located in Blanding, Utah, is seeking a full-time/part-time Patient Care Technician. Looking for highly motivated, hardworking candidates willing to work various schedules including days, nights and weekends. Bilingual (Navajo Language) preferred but not required.
- A Patient Care Technician must have great customer service skills and have the ability to work well in times of high stress and the ability to work as a team member.
- Candidates must be able to perform basic Emergency Medical techniques in the care and treatment of patients, under the supervision of a licensed staff member.
- Must be able to demonstrate high attention to detail with charting and paperwork.
- Must be able to deliver basic patient care including lifting, turning, moving, and positioning patients.
- Must be able to assist patients with bathing, linen changes, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting.
- Must demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
- Computer skills required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, the candidate must hold a current Utah Advanced EMT Certification, Basic EMT Certification, Medical Assistant Certification or C.N.A. License. Some responsibilities include assisting nurses and physicians with providing efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, obtaining historical information, and patient registration.
