Certified Registered Nurse Practioner - Cardio Clinic
Position Overview:
Blue Mountain Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to join our growing cardiology team. This position will serve as a key provider in the delivery of patient-centered cardiac care, conducting clinic visits, managing medications, providing education, and ensuring optimal pre- and post-procedure outcomes. Working in collaboration with our physicians, this role also offers leadership opportunities and the chance to grow a venous ablation program.
The CRNP practices with autonomy while maintaining close collaboration with physicians, providing high-quality care aligned with hospital policies and the values of safety, excellence, and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cardiology clinic Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Perform initial assessments, obtain medical history, provide pre- and post-procedure education and care.
- Prescribe and manage medications for cardiology patients.
- Document all patient encounters and care activities accurately in the hospital's EMR.
- Monitor and ensure completion of required consents, labs, and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians on treatment planning and adverse event reporting.
- Participate in medical board and clinical meetings as needed.
- Perform IV insertions, point-of-care testing, and CPR/emergency interventions if necessary.
- Opportunity to lead and develop a venous ablation program if desired.
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to assigned clinical staff.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and regulatory-compliant environment in the facility.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing and successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current CRNP license in the State of Utah.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; additional certifications may be required depending on departmental needs.
- Clinical competency in cardiology or a strong interest in developing expertise in cardiovascular care.
- Strong leadership, communication, and patient education skills.
- Ability to perform independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cardiovascular care or vascular access procedures.
- Interest or experience in developing a venous ablation service line.
- Prior EMR documentation experience.
