Job Description

The Dialysis Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall management of the Dialysis and Peritoneal Service Units at Blue Mountain Hospital. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this position prefers a seasoned healthcare professional with a background in dialysis, strong managerial skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. We are willing to offer on the job training for qualified applicants. The Dialysis manager will lead a dedicated team of nurses and technicians, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the unit and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Team Management
    1. Provide visionary leadership to the Dialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Services Units, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
    2. Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing and technical staff to optimize their potential and ensure a cohesive work environment.
  2. Operational Manaement
    1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dialysis Unit, ensuring the efficient delivery of patient care services.
    2. Schedule and coordinate nursing and technical staff to meet patient treatment needs
  3. Clinical Excellence
    1. Conduct initial clinical assessments of patients and participate in ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
    2. Initiate and monitor dialysis procedures, ensuring patient safety and well-being
  4. Collaboration & Communication
    1. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technicians to analyze patient data, including lab work, and provide recommendations for enhanced patient care. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

  5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
    1. Ensure strict adherence to established procedures for infection control and regulatory compliance.
    2. Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care.
  6. Resource Management
    1. Manage inventory, ensuring adequate supplies for dialysis treatments
    2. Optimize resource utilization to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Requirements

- Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree; graduate from an accredited school of nursing

- Current RN licensure in the State of Utah

- Preferred one year of management experience in a healthcare setting

- Preferred completion of a hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis training program

- Current BCLS certification

- Fingerprints and background check

Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting

- Preferred three years of experience in acute hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis
