On July 9, 2009 Blue Mountain Hospital opened its doors and began seeing
patients for the first time, following a huge open house celebration and
ribbon-cutting five days earlier on the 4th of July.
On July 9, 2019 Blue Mountain Hospital will celebrate its 10th Anniversary
caring for the healthcare needs of residents in San Juan County, and visitors
to our area. During the past ten years, BMH has become a staple in the
healthcare of the Four Corners region, as one of the top rural hospitals
in Utah. BMH has added millions of dollars to the economy of Blanding
and San Juan County. It has also been recognized as one of the outstanding
rural healthcare facilities in the nation, earning numerous awards for
excellence in all areas of healthcare service.
The public is invited to join Blue Mountain Hospital in celebrating our
10th Anniversary on Tuesday, July 9. The festivities begin with the “Mud
Run” at 5:30 p.m. in the area just south of the hospital. Those
wishing to participate in the Mud Run can sign up on the Blue Mountain
Hospital Facebook page. The first 150 people to sign up for the run on
our Facebook page get a free race bag. You can also sign up for the Mud
Run prior to the event on July 9, but only those signing up on the Facebook
page are eligible for the free race bag.
There will be a community dinner at Centennial Park, following the Mud
Run at 6:00 pm. Everyone is invited to join the hospital staff at the
dinner, even if you don’t try the Mud Run. Along with the dinner
we will have prizes, face painting, and games. You can also get a snow
cone if you take a ‘selfie’ and post it to our Facebook page.
You can get more details about all the 10th Anniversary festivities on
BMH’s Facebook page.
Come join Blue Mountain Hospital for all the fun and great food as we kick
off our second ten years serving our friends, neighbors and visitors with
the best in healthcare services.
