This Friday, November 14, Utah Navajo Health System, Inc. will hold a diabetes information health fair at the Blanding Family Practice Community Health Center from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
November is Diabetes Awareness month and the Diabetes Control & Prevention team at UNHS is hosting this health fair aimed at helping clients with Diabetes, pre-Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes or a high risk (sedentary lifestyle).
The goal of this "Living Well with Diabetes Health Fair" is to educate clients and encourage them to improve self-management of their Diabetes. Those attending can fill out questionnaires and be eligible for random drawings to win prizes, funded by the Diabetes Control Project.
Blue Mountain Hospital is also helping with this event by donating bottled water for the participants. UNHS officials are expecting a good turnout for this valuable Diabetes information fair. Everyone with an interest in diabetes management and control is invited to attend this important health care event.
