Kitchen and Dining at Blue Mountain Hospital
Food Services Department
The primary function of the food services department is to work with clinical staff to meet the nutritional needs of our patients. The patient diet is determined by several health and needs factors.
We have a small café, Blue Mountain Bistro. We serve patients, their guests, employees of the hospital and clinic, and the public. We provide a daily lunch special for $5.00, Monday through Friday. Some of the lunch favorites include a California Rueben Sandwich, Taco Salad Bar, Brazilian Burrito and Italian Panini Sandwich.
We also have a dinner special that includes entrée, potato, rice or pasta, vegetable and dessert for $6.50. The dinner favorites include Home-style Meatloaf, Southern Country-Fried Steak, Artichoke and Pesto Stuffed Chicken, and Beef Stroganoff. Our menu also includes a selection of fresh, cooked-to-order breakfast and lunch options and a salad bar as well.
Blue Mountain Bistro is located on the north side of the hospital next to the E.R.
Our hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. And 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Holidays we are open 8:00am to 5:00pm
Deb King is the food services manager. She has been with Blue Mountain Hospital since its opening. Deb has an extensive food service background, and loves the challenge of supporting both a restaurant operation and a food services department. She is passionate about helping our patients with their nutritional needs and education.
